June 8 Chapter ride Itinerary | Diamon Back Trail / Devils Whip NC

Hi Everybody,

Our Chapter ride for June 8th is the Diamond Back / Devils Whip in North Carolina.  Please see the ride itinerary below prepared by Bill Nelson for details.  For those of you not familiar with the location of the Spinx Station, it is located at 2 Tigerville Road and US Hwy. 25, Travelers Rest 29690-8601.

We will be watching the weather forecast as the ride gets closer to the ride date, so please check your emails Friday night and Saturday morning before the ride for any updates.  We are praying for good weather for Chapter ride.

We are hoping to see all of the Chapter 352 members at the Spinx Station for the Chapter ride.  It promises to be a really great time for everybody.  Please make sure your gas tanks are topped off when you arrive for the ride.

Joe I have attached the directions and map for the ride on June 8th. The ride will take us on the Interstate for about 45 miles, but will cut out a couple hours getting to the Devils Whip. We’ll stop for lunch in Little Switzerland then ride the Diamondback going home. We will meet at the Spinix Station in Traveler’s Rest at 0800 with KSU at 0830. On the way up we will pull off HWY 25 at HWY 176 to pick up the Hendersonville Chapter. We will stop for gas in Old Fort before getting on HWY 80 the Devil’s Whip. We will also reorganize the formation as I would like to put inexperienced rides near the front so the more experienced riders can lay back a little and drag their pegs and floorboards. It should be a fun day not a lot of mile 177 miles from start to finish, but will have lots of curves. Hope to see lot of rides on this one. Bill Nelson Alternate Road Captian
